At Forster, we are committed to ensuring that our digital services are accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. This is part of our broader effort to provide an inclusive experience in line with the European Accessibility Act (Directive 2019/882) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.

Scope

This statement applies to:

It does not currently apply to password-protected platforms or legacy applications not accessible to the general public.

Accessibility Compliance Status

The Forster website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA due to the non-compliances and limitations described below. An external accessibility audit was carried out by Leap Forward in January 2025. These audits included automated and manual testing of key user flows and representative pages.

We have developed a phased accessibility roadmap to address the identified issues, starting with priority fixes in 2025 and a shift to "accessibility by default" from 2026 onwards.

Non-Accessible Content

The following issues are currently being addressed:

  • Missing or unclear alternative text on icons, logos, and linked images

  • Insufficient text and non-text contrast, particularly in navigation, search fields, breadcrumbs, and buttons

  • Keyboard navigation barriers, including cookie banners, dropdowns, and focus management

  • Non-descriptive or duplicated link text, especially in carousels and downloads

  • Missing ARIA labels and form instructions for search fields and filter options

  • Inconsistent page titles and headings, reducing clarity for screen reader users

  • Improper language tags, causing screen readers to mispronounce multilingual content

  • Small tap/click targets on mobile (e.g., cancel icons and checkboxes)

  • Focus visibility and order issues, especially in carousels and mobile menus

We are actively updating our design system foundations and shared components to improve these areas.

Measures to Improve Accessibility

Forster is taking the following measures:

  • Redesigning components and foundations with accessibility in mind
  • Training content creators and developers on accessibility standards
  • Implementing accessibility testing in our development workflow
  • Monitoring accessibility compliance through regular audits and feedback

These improvements are being rolled out progressively, with the most critical fixes scheduled for completion by the end of 2025.
